Hi,

I read your article “Developing with the Catalog System”, and I have a question about the catalog system.
I’m trying to implement a site from the “Starter Site” of Commerce Server 2009. It have a SiteMap where it show the categories and its products, but I need to create a field to tell the commerce that it is not visible. I would like to know ¿how can I do that? ¿changing the provider? ¿where the commerce create the node?¿Is posible to say it that not show some node if it have a property on true or false?. Thanks.

You can try this, but you will need to have the Ad Hoc Distributed Queries enabled.
SELECT *
FROM OPENROWSET(’MSDASQL’,’Driver={Microsoft Text Driver (*.txt; *.csv)}; DEFAULTDIR=C:\t.csv; Extensions=CSV; HDR=No;’,’SELECT * FROM t.csv’)

In all cases you can write a script which will import the data manually. Parsing the csv file and running the insert is easy to write.

if BULKINSERT permission is not granted ( because im using a service provider) is there another way?

Hi,
You will need to create an interim page where you will track the conversion and then you will redirect the user to actual pdf file.
You can do this as javascript - tacking and window.location
or on server side. If you are using PHP, look at the project serversidegoogleanalytics. After the tracking you can redirect or change the content type of the page and push the data to the browser.
